Minutes of recent meetings of the Board of Directors of the American Romney Breeders Association, Inc. are shown below:
President Ron Andress called the meeting to order at 1:09 pm EST. In attendance were President Ron Andress, Vice President Charlene Carlisle, At Large Directors Tracy Haslem, Carol Pasheilich and Willis Plank as well as regional Directors Hilary Chapin (1), Michele Reilly (2), Ed Julian(3) and Becky Petrick (6). Secretary/Treasurer Christiane Payton was also present. Scott Culver (4) and Randy Thompson (5) joined the call after it started.

In attendance were ARBA Board members Charlene Carlisle (Vice President),Tracy Haslem (At Large), Carol Pasheilich (At Large), Hilary Chapin (District 1), Ed Julian (District 3), Scott Culver (District 4) and Randy Thompson (District 5) as well as Secretary/Treasurer Christiane Payton.
Ron Andress had the Board members introduce themselves and welcomed guest, Christine Bazant. He then reviewed some of the decisions of the Old Board meeting dated 9/23/2011 for informational purposes. These included the creation of a new application for membership as well as for membership renewal, directives regarding the duties of directors, the functioning of nominating committees as well as the decision to have ASR deposit funds on ARBA’s behalf for services rendered.

Out-going president Cindy Cieciwa welcomed ARBA members and the Board at the Annual Meeting held in the historic Storrowtown Tavern on the fairgrounds of the Big E, in West Springfield, MA. ARBA members from the following states were represented: CA, OR, NJ, PA, OH, MI, NY, CT, NH, RI, IA and IL.
After a welcome, Cindy Cieciwa recognized Anne McIntyre Lahner for her efforts spearheading the organization of the ARBA National Show & Sale as well as thanked Ron Andress for his efforts on behalf of the Sales Committee. The Old Board was introduced – Board members present were Anne McIntyre Lahner (District 1), Christine Bazant (At Large), Ron Andress (At Large), Scott Culver (District 4), Randy Thompson (District 5) and Carol Pasheilich (At Large.) Secretary/Treasurer Christiane Payton was also there. Unable to attend were out going Vice President Margaret Walters, Dan Pence (District 3), Becky Petrick (District 6) and Michelle Reilly (District 2.)

The Old Board Annual Meeting took place in West Springfield, MA on September 22, 2011 in conjunction with the ARBA National show and Sale at the Big E. Outgoing President, Cindy Cieciwa, called the meeting to order at 10:25 EST. In attendance were: President Cindy Cieciwa, as well as Directors Ron Andress, Christine Bazant, Scott Culver, Carol Pasheilich and Randy Thompson. Secretary/Treasurer Christiane Payton was present and took the meeting minutes. Board member Anne McIntyre Lahner joined the group a few minutes after the start of the meeting.
The first order of business was the approval of the meeting minutes from the conference call dated 4/9/2011. All Board members had a hard copy of the minutes and had been asked to review them prior to the meeting. C. Bazant asked that 2 typos be changed and all present agreed that the changes be made. S. Culver then moved that the minutes be approved, C. Bazant seconded the motion and the Board voted unanimously in favor of the motion.
